Celebrate the Annual Nisei Week Japanese Festival, cultural exhibitions, entertainment, and activities throughout two weekends. Nisei Week is a festival celebrating Japanese and Japanese American culture in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles and is recognized today as one of the longest running ethnic festivals in the United States . Nisei means 2nd generation in Japanese, describing the first American born Japanese, a group that started the festival in 1934.
View Japanese prefectural displays as well as artisans skilled in Ikebana, Bonsai, Japanese Dolls, Calligraphy, Tea Ceremony and more.
