Biography
Mel Carll is a Santa Clarita Valley based photographer and instructor, currently shooting weddings, family portraits, school portraits, senior location portraits, executive headshots, corporate product shots and special events. Mel also currently shoots for Inside SCV Magazine and the City of Santa Clarita. Mel currently has 7 gallery images on display in the Allensworth Exhibit at the California African American Museum in Exposition Park, Los Angeles. Additional images are also on display locally at the City of Santa Clarita City Hall, He has also had several images displayed throughout the past year at Santa Clarita City Hall and the Canyon Country Library. He is currently on the Board of Directors for the Santa Clarita Photographers Association and the Professional Photographers of Los Angeles County (PPLAC), and is involved with the City of Santa Clarita’s 661 Arts Association, whose goal is to bring art to the community. Mel is an award winning photographer having won Best of Show in the 2010 Professional Photographers of Los Angeles County print competition and most recently, 2010 Image of the year for Professional Photographers of Los Angeles County (PPLAC), and has also won awards with the Santa Clarita Valley Photographers Association print competitions since May 2008 to current. Mel is excited to bring the SCV Center for Photography studio to the community allowing photographers of all levels to advance their goals, knowledge and joy of photography.
