A special one-day interactive exhibit at Strathearn Historical Park and Museum! The Simi Valley Historical Society will celebrate the 60 years of rocket engine development at the Santa Susana Field Laboratory in the Simi Hills with a Special “Rocket Day” event at Strathearn Historical Park entitled “The Fires of Creation.” A celebration of the local aerospace workers and industry that made the US Space programs possible.
Event will include streaming videos of launches, a rocket engine on display that supported all space programs, and presentations on the early days of Rocketdyne.

  • Frank Winter from the National Air and Space Museum

  • Live feed from the International Space Station

Tickets $10/adults 13 and up, $5/kids 5-12, Kids 4 and under are free.
